About the Cooperative
The Agricultural Cooperative ASEPOP Velventos was established in 1917, and its production and marketing now exceed 14,000 tons of fruit. The primary focus of the cooperative is the production and trade of peaches, nectarines, and apples, as well as kiwis, plums, nashi pears, quinces, apricots, and cherries. The products of the Agricultural Cooperative “ASEPOP Velventos” are distinguished not only for their high quality but also for the modern cultivation methods applied by the cooperative. As a result, it plays a significant role in the development of both the Velventos-Kozani region and the Greek economy. It is worth noting that the cooperative has 400 member-producers, with a total cultivable area reaching 650 hectares (6,500 acres).
