With great success, a Press Event of ASEPOP Velventou was held on Monday, 3 November 2025, in Piraeus, bringing together a large number of journalists and representatives of the specialized press. Participants had the opportunity to engage in in-depth discussions with ASEPOP Velventou executives on contemporary challenges and future prospects of the agricultural sector.
The event was hosted at Ten Modern Asian Restaurant at Zea Marina and was organized within the framework of the FruitUp! promotion and information programme, a three-year campaign co-financed by the European Union. The programme aims to enhance awareness and consumption of European fruits—peaches, nectarines, and apples—in the markets of France and Greece. Implemented by ASEPOP Velventou, FruitUp! promotes high-quality fruits produced with respect for the environment and in full compliance with the strict standards of the European Union, while seeking to strengthen the organization’s presence in the Greek market and support its entry and establishment in the French market.
Within the framework of the FruitUp! programme, ASEPOP Velventou has carried out a series of targeted communication actions both in Greece and abroad. Among them stands out the highly successful press event at Voyatzis Winery, organized at the launch of the programme, during which the objectives and individual actions of FruitUp! were presented in detail, receiving very positive feedback from media representatives and agri-food stakeholders.
Similarly, in France, two press events were held in Paris in cooperation with the Mavrommatis Group, one of the most prominent ambassadors of Greek gastronomy in France, actively promoting high-quality Greek products through its restaurants and delicatessen stores. These events achieved significant communication impact, and as noted by Mr. Balanis, they laid the foundations for a cooperation expected to further develop in the coming years, aiming at increased volumes and the establishment of more stable commercial relationships in the French market.
At the same time, ASEPOP Velventou has strengthened the programme’s international outreach through continuous participation in leading international trade fairs. In addition to its annual presence at Freskon (THESSALONIKI HELEXPO), where FruitUp! consistently attracts the interest of professionals and traders, the programme has been represented at SITEVI 2023 in Montpellier, MEDFEL 2023 in Perpignan, a specialized B2B exhibition dedicated to fruits and vegetables, as well as at the flagship SIAL Paris 2024, one of the world’s largest international food exhibitions.
The programme’s presence will continue with scheduled participations in SITEVI 2025, MEDFEL 2025, and Freskon 2026, aiming to maintain and expand partnerships in the target markets.
Finally, within the FruitUp! programme, a high-aesthetic documentary has been produced, highlighting the production process, safety and quality standards, as well as the producers’ commitment to sustainable farming and European agricultural excellence.
